FILM & TV

As the creator of the dramedy mystery web series Inattentional, I worked on many parts of the production. As Showrunner/Executive Producer, I have been overseeing the production of 40+ cast/crew of college students. As the Writer, I developed the three-part scripted series featuring eight main characters. As the Episode 1 Director, I developed the vision for the pilot episode, incorporating mockumentary filmmaking methods. And as the actor who portrayed the student detective Diana, I was one of the main characters in the ensemble cast. The show is part of the BUild Lab’s Innovation Pathway at Boston University.

The web series will be available this winter. Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel to see when episodes are released.

As the co-creator of Admitted, I did multiple roles for the production. As Showrunner/Executive Producer: I organized the production of 20+ people with 1-4 shoot days/week for the five 20-25 minute episodes filmed in Fall 2022 as a part of BUild Lab’s FYIF and Innovation Pathway. As Co-Head Writer, I developed beat sheets for each episode and brainstormed long-term storylines. And as the actor playing MC, I was a part of the ensemble cast to help bring the characters to life.

I was featured in Innovate@BU’s 2022-2023 Annual Report discussing Admitted.

I was the Producer and 1st Assistant Director for Art House, a multi-camera television sitcom episode in front of a live studio audience in Spring 2023 in the Booth Theatre. Art House was a pilot program collaboration between the Film & Television Department and the School of Theatre. As producer, I also coordinated on-location shoot including location scouting, transportation, and scheduling.

Chronic

a short film about having myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)

The story behind the short film

In honor of the last day of ME/CFS Awareness Month, I shared my short film “Chronic” in partnership with #MEAction.

During tenth grade, I started feeling extreme exhaustion. I could not get out of bed and it felt like the fatigue you have with the flu. It would feel as though I was being weighed down. I was never a morning person, but this lack of energy was beyond that.

The fatigue would not rest. For those who may have wondered why I missed so much school in 10th/11th grade, this is why.

In the spring of 10th grade, I went to a specialist and finally got my answer: I had myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). A weight was lifted off of me. I was relieved to have a name for what was happening. The National Institutes of Health defines ME/CFS as a “disease [that] is characterized by at least six months of incapacitating fatigue experienced as profound exhaustion and extremely poor stamina, and problems with concentration and short-term memory.”

I have continued to have ups and downs since my diagnosis. Now, many others are having similar issues due to Long COVID.

ME/CFS has taught me to spend time on what matters in life. Spending time with friends & family and telling stories (like this short film) have been two of the things that are most important, as is finding moments of humor. I see film and television as a way to tell stories that can help people feel seen and for people to understand others. I hope that this film can help someone with ME/CFS feel seen and will help someone else understand a little bit about what it is like.

#MEAction shared the short film on Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. The film was also included in an article #MEAction posted highlighting other community videos as a part of their #MillionsMissing initiative.

ACTOR (DYLAN)

Enter: Editor-in-Chief of Beacon Hill College’s newspaper, equally ready to report on a school event as she is to solve a murder.

PA, PRODUCER’S ASSISTANT

I was a PA for Bay State’s 31st season, where I helped with the execution of the creation of the episodes. For Bay State’s 33rd season, I was a Producer’s Assistant, helping with the organization of filming.

WritER

After being a Writer’s Apprentice for Bay State’s 32nd season––helping brainstorm and conceptualize episodes––I was a writer for Seasons 33 and 34. I wrote scenes for each episode of those seasons in addition to providing feedback to the other writers.

Voting Writes Project

I developed three short films for the Voting Writes Project in collaboration with a team of artists.
